Dutch release Calimucho 11 September

Calimucho by Eugenie Jansen will be released in 8 prints in the Netherlands by A-Film starting 11 September. The film will have a festive screening at the Netherlands Film Festival with cast and crew attending on Saturday 27 September.

Happiest Girl winner Sundance NHK Award

The Happiest Girl in the World of Rumanian director Radu Jude (prize winning Sundance short The Tube with the Hat), has won the Sundance NHK Award. Radu Jude wrote the script in collaboration with Augustina Stanciu. Circe acts as the Dutch coproducer of the debut feature produced by Ada Solomon of Hi Film Bucharest.

Wolfsbergen two major Dutch film awards

Last Saturday Wolfsbergen has been awarded with two major awards at the Netherlands Film Festival. After being nominated in six categories (Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Male Supporting Role, Best Photography), Jan Decleir and Richard van Oosterhout went home with a Golden Calf award.
