FIPRESCI Award for HEMEL at Berlinale

The Jury of the International Critics honoured Sacha Polak with a FIPRESCI award for best film in the Forum section. HEMEL will be released in the Netherland from 29th March.

Dominga Sotomayor’s Thursday till Sunday has won a Tiger Award at the Rotterdam IFF last Friday. One week earlier Sotomayor won the NHK Mahindra Award at Sundance for her new project, Tarde Para Morir Joven (Late to Die Young), developed at the Binger Film Lab.

Thursday till Sunday in Tiger Competition

De Jueves a Domingo by Chilean director Dominga Sotomayor has been selected for the Tiger Awards Competition 2012 at the IFF Rotterdam. The debut film is produced by Forastero and Cinestacion (both CL) and was coproduced by Circe Films, with support of the Hubert Bals Fund. World sales is handled by FiGa Films.

At the closing ceremony of the Dutch Film Festival a proud Nanouk Leopold took both Golden Calves for which she was nominated: Best Screenplay and Best Director.

Brownian Movement leads race at NFF with six nominations

Brownian Movement by Nanouk Leopold was nominated six times at the Netherlands Film Festival with nominations for: Production Design (Elsje de Bruijn), Original Music (Harry de Wit), Best Supporting Actor (Kuno Bakker), Best Screenplay (Leopold), Best Director (Leopold) and Best Film (Stienette Bosklopper for Circe Films). The award ceremony is on Friday 1 October.
