Tsai Ming-Liang Face in Competition Cannes

Starring Laetitia Casta, Lee Kang-Sheng, Fanny Ardant and Jean-Pierre Laud, Tsai Ming-Liangs Face is among the competition line-up of the Cannes filmfestival. The film is produced by JBA Productions in France, and co-produced by Circe, Tarantula (BE) and Homegreen (TW). 1.670 feature films were proposed to the festival, of which 20 films are in competition. Face is represented by Fortissimo Film Sales. Cannes festival director Thierry Fremaux dedicated the selection this year to Wouter Barendrecht, who totally unexpected passed away recently.

Dutch premiere of Wander to Wonder at IFFR

Nina Gantz’s animation Wander to Wonder will premiere at IFFR on 20 January after a busy festival tour since Venice’s Orrizonti last year. W2W was screened at (a.o.)
