Three wins for Hemel

Hemel has won two awards this weekend: Sacha Polak has won an Angela Award at SUBTITLE European Film Festival in Ireland for her contributions to European cinema and Hannah Hoekstra has won the Best Actress Award at the European Film Festival in Essonne. Previously, Sacha Polak has won the Ecumenical Jury prize for feature film at Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival.

Dutch premiere of Wander to Wonder at IFFR

Nina Gantz’s animation Wander to Wonder will premiere at IFFR on 20 January after a busy festival tour since Venice’s Orrizonti last year. W2W was screened at (a.o.) Winterthur, Ljublijana and Leuven and won the Golden Spike for best short film at SEMINCI in Valladolid. Upcoming festivals are Santa Barbara and SXSW in the US. […]
